Violence Against Women and Girls Workplace Health and Safety

As part of the campaign for 16 days of action UNISON NI Women’s committee have arranged
this workshop for all members. Violence against women and Girls is not confined to the home
or dark allies. Many employers have policies to protect women at work from harm. Health
and safety legislation also provides a protection to those who may be a risk of violence and
employers have a duty to protect their staff in the workplace.
This workshop will cover these areas outline the help available and how to ensure policies are
implemented or where to turn to for help.
