Organising Stewards Stage 2

“UNISON stewards are the most important link between members in the workplace, their employer and the wider union. This 9-day course is for new stewards to give you the knowledge and skills to support members locally and take on issues in your workplace.

The first 4 days (Stage 1) are about who we are and where we are going; your place in UNISON, organising and meeting your members.

The next 3 days (Stage 2) is representation skills, addressing disciplinary and grievances.

The final 2 days (Stage 3 ) will further help you navigate your journey as a new stewards , this section will focus on equality in UNISON and organising to win.

This course is run in 3 sections (Stage 1 is 4 days and Stage 2 is 3 days Stage 3 2 days)
