Medications for Home Care, Day Care & Support Workers

Medicines management training for support staff is a half day training which will focus on supporting people to take oral and topical medicines in their own homes. The course will cover; legislation and guidance, the safe administration process, storage and disposal, side effects, incident reporting and how to assist a service user with a cognitive impairment. There will be an opportunity for hands on experiential learning.
