Effective Communication in Palliative Dementia Care

Recognising the importance of effective communication in palliative care, this half day session will focus on why communication is affected by dementia and consider the challenges this presents in practice.

It will offer practical techniques to enable participants to communicate effectively with the person with dementia. The session is relevant to all members of the multidisciplinary team involved in caring for persons with dementia.
