HEALTH & SAFETY MODULE 1

There has never been a more important time to undertake Health & Safety Training. All stewards are asked to complete Health & Safety training to enable you to support members in the workplace and to secure time off to do so. This is particularly important for those in the private/voluntary sector.

This course covers the legislation, risk assessments, workplace inspections, various areas of health and safety such as physical environment, equipment, loan working and work related stress.

Being a Health & Safety rep. entitles you to time off for trade union duties.

THIS IS AN EVENING COURSE, PARTICULARLY FOR THOSE IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR, WHO MAY FIND IT DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN DAY RELEASE.

This course is accredited by SERC (South Eastern Regional College).
