GREEN ISSUES

This course is currently being delivered online. 

Green Issues provides a platform to find more about the environment and climate change and how to get involved in positive change and activism through your union and on a personal basis.

You will find out more about why environmental problems have developed over time and be able to apply the knowledge gained from the course, to your own situation and create a greener life for you, your family, community, and workplace.

Participants will also get the opportunity to:

  • Examine what environmental groups/organisations exist, who’s doing what, from – Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, through to Extinction Rebellion.
  • Explore how Human Rights and poverty are Green Issues.
  • Examine and understand the work Unions are doing in this area.
  • Look at what COP26 in Glasgow is and how you can engage around it.
